This Sunday's run is at Hiroshi's house, at 209 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA.
Here are some notes from Hiroshi about parking:
When you arrive at my place, try to park in the paved driveway which should accommodate 5 cars if tightly parked and the wood section which should accommodate at least 4 cars (again park as tightly as possible). People who arrive for 3+ mile may need to park by the green commercial building behind the house. Please make sure you do not block the commercial building door.
Parking on Hopedale Street should be avoided.
If you still cannot find a space to park, park in the open space at the end of Boyd Street.
Exciting new option for this week!
We added a new option to run the 15k course in Upton (the exact course of the Tune-Up Race). This is a great chance to preview the course before race day! Runners meet at Nipmuc Regional High School, 90 Pleasant Street, Upton. Claire Quinn and Jess Morrissey are the run greeters. Run starts at 9:00AM sharp, and runners can drive back to Hiroshi's house after (about 10 minutes away) for soup!
Check in here for details about weekly group runs. Spring through Fall activities include Monday night trails in Hopedale, Wednesday night track, Thursday night trails in Uxbridge, and a variety of weekend running options. Then stick with us in the winter for the very popular Soup Runs!

" ...... I wanted to say to everyone in the club who hasn't done one of the soup runs to give it a try!
We did our first one last week - had been hesitant because we both are nursing injuries and going slow, but we went with Jill's walk-run group and did some running, some walking and it worked out fine. It is SO much easier to get out there in the cold when there is a group.
Love the soup idea, too. Nothing like hot soup on a cold day and the camaraderie of relaxing after a run with a bunch of running friends. I'm not sure whose idea it was to start these runs, but it's one of the best things the club has done."

The soup and fellowship that follow each run are as enjoyable as the run. This has been a great opportunity to pick up many tips from more experienced runners as well as a time to enjoy camaraderie with fellow runners. I could not say enough about the wonderful group of people I have had the great pleasure to meet through joining TVFR.
