Soup Group
Welcome back to Silver Lake! I didn't know that my neighbor was sending you all off with a trumpet blast last time! I'm sure that he will be doing that again!
The routes are 4 miles, 6.2, 8, 10 and 12. If your GPS tells you that I am off, run to the end of the street (it is a dead end) and back to the house for the bonus lap.
That will add approximately 4/10 of a mile.
If anyone wants to go shorter please let me know and I can talk you through a shorter route. Maps will be available.
Please park on the lake side of the street, preferably past the house if available.
Anyone who wants to take a dog with them is welcome to Wilson! See you Sunday!

" ...... I wanted to say to everyone in the club who hasn't done one of the soup runs to give it a try!
We did our first one last week - had been hesitant because we both are nursing injuries and going slow, but we went with Jill's walk-run group and did some running, some walking and it worked out fine. It is SO much easier to get out there in the cold when there is a group.
Love the soup idea, too. Nothing like hot soup on a cold day and the camaraderie of relaxing after a run with a bunch of running friends. I'm not sure whose idea it was to start these runs, but it's one of the best things the club has done."

The soup and fellowship that follow each run are as enjoyable as the run. This has been a great opportunity to pick up many tips from more experienced runners as well as a time to enjoy camaraderie with fellow runners. I could not say enough about the wonderful group of people I have had the great pleasure to meet through joining TVFR.
