Here are some words from Joe Hamm regarding this Sunday's soup run!
Allyson & I are looking forward to hosting the TVFR Soup Group for the fourth time. I just added a 13.5 mile route that includes Causeway Street in Millis, one of the most scenic roads in the state. New member Janet Matthies will be back to lead us in a post run stretch in the new fitness studio from 10:45 to 11:15. As always... coffee, hot yogi tea & soup will be ready at 11:00.
We would appreciate it if every one would make an effort to carpool this week or park at the high school and walk over. It's only 1/3 of a mile. 30 cars just won't fit. We were asked recently, "what if this gets too big?" Our answer is simple: we have never had too many friends in our home.

" ...... I wanted to say to everyone in the club who hasn't done one of the soup runs to give it a try!
We did our first one last week - had been hesitant because we both are nursing injuries and going slow, but we went with Jill's walk-run group and did some running, some walking and it worked out fine. It is SO much easier to get out there in the cold when there is a group.
Love the soup idea, too. Nothing like hot soup on a cold day and the camaraderie of relaxing after a run with a bunch of running friends. I'm not sure whose idea it was to start these runs, but it's one of the best things the club has done."

The soup and fellowship that follow each run are as enjoyable as the run. This has been a great opportunity to pick up many tips from more experienced runners as well as a time to enjoy camaraderie with fellow runners. I could not say enough about the wonderful group of people I have had the great pleasure to meet through joining TVFR.
